California State Senator Gilbert Cedillo (D-22) recently introduced Senate Joint Resolution No. 19, which condemns the enforcement of federal immigration laws and calls upon the Congress and the President of the United States to enact an immediate moratorium on such actions until amnesty is granted for all illegal aliens. As you may recall, Senator Cedillo has unsuccessfully tried for more than a decade to pass legislation that would allow illegal aliens to obtain driver's licenses in California. Ironically, the resolution passed on the eve of the eighth anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks in the history of our Nation by a straight party-line vote. All of the California State Senators who voted for this ill-conceived resolution have every reason to be ashamed of themselves.
