Take Action |

UPDATED LETTER (April 4th, 2013)
While
it appears as though Congress appropriated sufficient funds to pay the
salaries of Border Patrol agents within the current Continuing
Resolution (CR), CBP has yet to make a decision on the spending plan.
Consequently, the proposed plans and indecision have unnecessarily
caused Border Patrol agents and their families to worry about their
safety at work and the uncertainty of their financial stability. Please take
action to prevent CBP from reducing the numbers and pay of Border
Patrol agents who risk their lives daily to patrol our borders and keep
our nation safe.

Sector Enforcement Specialist (SES) Reclassification/Downgrade Update |
|
|
|
Friday, 30 September 2011 |
|
As most Sector Enforcement Specialists (SES) should be aware by now, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) completed the Consistency Review related to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) decision to reclassify and downgrade the SES position to Law Enforcement Communications Assistant (LECA). There are significant issues with this notification to employees regarding this reclassification as the notification includes a Legacy Customs Priority Placement Program (CPPP) that was never negotiated with the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC).

Judicial Watch Uncovers Info from DHS Detailing Plan to Impose DREAM Act by Suspending Deportations |
|
|
|
Thursday, 08 September 2011 |
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Obama Department of Homeland Security (DHS) detailing behind-the-scenes efforts by the Obama administration to bypass Congress and grant amnesty at least one million illegal aliens by suspending immigration deportation proceedings against “DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act kids” and other illegal aliens. The records include internal DHS strategic documents, as well as extensive email communications within the DHS and with the Obama White House. The documents were obtained by Judicial Watch as a result of two Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits filed on March 23, 2011 (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 11-604) and Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 11-606)).
